Kosmopolis supports WEX
The cultural organisation Kosmopolis The Hague is supporting the 2009 edition of WEX Festival! Kosmopolis The Hague is an organisation that strives to improve the social cohesion within the city of The Hague through arts and culture. Dates have been set!

The dates have been set, the band has been chosen! The first official edition of WEX Festival will be featuring: REPLIKAS! Replikas are an avant-rock band from Istanbul Turkey. They were selected due to their innovative and experimental sound and the level of professionalism that they show in their music.

Replikas will be staying in The Hague from the 21st until the 25th of October, 2009. During their stay, they will give a special showcase in café the Zwarte Ruiter on the Grote Markt. They will also be appearing as special guests at the PopSeminar “So You Wanna Be A Rock ‘n Roll Star?” at Koorenhuis, where they will take part in a discussion about whether or not musicians in The Hague have it too easy, and how our extremely western local music scene compares to non-western local scenes. They will have a live radio performance on the online radio show Stork on Air and to conclude their mini-tour of The Hague, they will appear live on stage at the The Hague PopWeek Finale in the main hall of Paard van Troje.

WEX Kick-off!
The WEX kick-off will be taking place in the form of a pilot, which will hopefully develop into a full festival over the next few years. For now, WEX will invite 1 lucky band to the Netherlands to play several gigs and to experience the lively The Hague music scene! Stay tuned to find out who that band will be…
